Living life with Fibromyalgia isn't an easy. All sorts of things can happen. The first thing I noticed was pain gets ramped up, it acts like an amplifier, turning up the volume on pain, which in itself is bad enough.

Then there is the brain fog, getting up off the sofa going in to the kitchen and forgetting after a few staps just what you got up for, and being mid flow of a sentence and not being able to remember what word you were about to use.

Humidity really affects me, living in the UK as I do makes this all the more difficult. We get humid weather as soon as the weather warms up. It makes me feel itchy, and also makes me run hot and cold flushes.

Sleeping is affected by Fibromyalgia, trying to get off to sleep to start with, then once asleep getting woken up by the amplified pain that I've already mentioned here.

Getting out of bed is really affected, long gone are the days when I could get up and go, now its a case of how can I get up and get out of bed without making pain flare up.

Feeling itchy is another thing Fibromyalgia brings you, or some of us sufferers anyway. Some times the itchy feeling isn't itchable on the outside on your skin, it feels like it is inside your bones. With me its normally in my hip or in my arm somewhere.

Also feeling tired and drained, getting terrible headaches and did I mention the pain? it is wide spread and more often than not difficult to pin point the source.

Myself, I suffer with Ankylosyn Spondulitis, which on its own is bad enough, but coupled with Fibromyalgia is hell on earth!

I have a blog where I post about my struggles and life with what I am going through.

I'm on Gabapentin, was on 100mg dose three times a day, I am currently increasing the dosage up to 300mg three times a day (at time of typing this page I am currently on 200mg, 100mg, 200mg)
